A whimsical and nuanced prose poem set in Key West, this award-winning book explores the parallels between the life cycle of a snail and the complexity of human relationships. As the illustrator, I created a visual world that surrounds the poetry with light and texture, using "suggestively sophisticated" imagery to complement the book's clever, scientifically-informed language.
